This Grade 9 Natural Sciences test and memorandum assess learners’ understanding of electrical circuits and safety. Topics include circuit components and symbols, series and parallel circuits, current, potential difference, resistance, variables in investigations, Ohm’s law, electrical safety and the cost of electricity. The assessment includes multiple choice questions, terminology, circuit diagrams, scientific explanations and calculations. It is based on the CAPS curriculum and is suitable for IEB aligned revision, classroom assessment and examination preparation.
